PRAWNS PULAV

PRAWN PULAV 

                      Prawns pulav is the best Sunday lunch you can make for your family. You can adjust spice levels to your desired taste. Do try out this recipe and let me know how you like it. 
INGREDIENTS 
1. Prawns cleaned and deveined 1kg 
2. Basmati rice 2 cups 
3. Onions sliced 3 
4. Ginger 1 inch 
5. Garlic 12 to 13 
6. Green chillies 4 to 5 
7. Red chilly powder 1 tsp 
8. Coriander powder 1 tsp
9. Jeera powder 1tsp
10. Turmeric 1tsp 
11. Garam masala 2 tsp 
13. Lemon 1 big if small take 2 
15. Chopped coriander to garnish.
16. Salt to taste. 
17. Bay leaf 2 
18. Cardamom 2 
18. Black Cardamom 1 
19. Star anise 1 
20 cloves 5 to 6 
21. Shahi jeera 1tsp.
22. Ghee half cup 
METHOD 
1. Wash and soak 2 cups rice .
2. Marinate prawns with salt turmeric powder coriander powder red chilly powder garam masala jeera powder for 1hr 
3. In a thick bottomed pan add Ghee let if get hot add bay leaf cloves green cardamom black cardamom cloves star anise cook till it sizzles.
4. Add onions fry till dark brown.
5. Add marinated prawns cook well. Add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves. 
6. Add  strained rice and saute for 4 minutes.
7. Add 3 cups water let it boil and then put gas on lowest for 16 minutes with lid on.
8. After 16 minutes shut the gas and let pulav rest for 15 minutes 
9. Serve with raita or spicy achaar.
