KERELA FISH CURRY WITH COCONUT MILK

Ingredients

  • Fish 500 grams

  • Onions 2 large sliced

  • Tomato 1 sliced

  • Thin coconut milk half cup

  • Thick coconut milk 1 cup

  • Ginger 2 inches chopped finely

  • Garlic 5 to 7 finely sliced

  • Red chilly powder 1 tbsp

  • Haldi half tsp

  • Curry leaves 2 sprig

  • Coconut oil 4 tbsp

  • Mustard seeds half tsp

  • Green chillies slit 2

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  • In a kadhai heat oil add mustard seeds let it splutter add onions garlic ginger curry leaves. Cook till its light pink
  • Add tomatoes cook for 4 mins
  • Add red chilly powder haldi powder cook well for 1 minute
  • Add thin coconut milk add fish pieces and salt and let it cook.
  • Add thick coconut milk adjust salt cook for 4 mins and serve after giving a resting time of half an hr.
