IYENGAR BAKERY STYLE HONEY CAKE

This cake was the recipe adapted by jeyadra vijayselvans recent Instagram reels. I always had this cake in my to do list and when this baking diva did it I had to follow her. Do try out this recipe of hers and let me know how u like it.

Ingredients

  • Condensed milk 1 cup

  • Milk 1 cup

  • Pure vanilla essence 1.5tsp

  • Oil 1 cup

  • Maida 2 and 1/4 cup

  • Cornflour 2tbsp

  • Dessicated coconut 3tbsp ( optional )

  • Baking powder 2tsp

  • Baking soda half tsp

  • FOR SYRUP
  • Warm Water 200ml

  • Sugar 200 grams

  • Honey 50ml

  • Kissan jam 200 grams mixed with 2tbsp water

Directions

  • Mix all ingredients together for the cake and make a smooth batter.
  • Pour it in a lined tin bake at 180 degrees till done.
  • Make the syrup by adding all ingredients exceot jam and pour over the cake.
  • Spread the jam and sprinkle dessicated coconut. Cut to desired pieces and enjoy
