DAHI KADHI
Dahi kadi varies in its INGREDIENTS from region to region. The kadhi that I like is from gujrat. Spicy sweet and a total comfort food with khichdi. Do try out this recipe and let me know how you like it.
INGREDIENTS
1. Curd 1 cup
2. Besan 3 tbsp
3. Oil 2 tbsp
4. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
5. Curry leaves 2 sprig
6. Asafoetida half tsp
7. Coriander leaves chopped a few
8. Sugar 1 tsp
9. Ginger 1 inch
10. Garlic 4 to 5 cloves
11. Green chilly 2
12. Salt to taste
13. Cloves 3 to 4
METHOD
1. In a mixie grind ginger garlic green chillies and keep aside.
2. In a bowl whisk together curd and Besan with 2 cup water slowly so as the lumps dont form.
3. In a kadhai heat oil add cumin seeds let it splutter . Add cloves curry leaves and ginger garlic paste let it cook for 1 minute
4. Add curd Besan mixture whisk well. Add salt sugar and let it boil on medium flame for 15 minutes . Add water if u like a thin kadhi.
5. Add chopped coriander leaves. Shut the gas. Enjoy piping hot with khichdi and pickle .
